You know that moment when you walk into a room and there are two or more people already there and you know, you feel with your whole being, that something has happened between them. The air is potent with some kind of experience. There may be clues and circumstances in the room that can tell you whether it was an argument or amorous encounter or both or a whole rainbow of other things. To me, this is the feeling that a good performance can give. But a great performance can gives you that and a whole new web of potent tangible feelings and new links for thought.

If you’d like to find out more about what performance art is, the best explanation that I have come across to date is on the Live Art Development Agency’s website to be found here.
